Liene, please tell us - who are you?

I am Liene Vilmane. An illustrator, an artist and art lover.

What are your values?

My top values are family and being together with my loved ones. Time spent together meaningfully. The creative world and doing exactly what brings me joy. Although I don’t have many friends, those which I do have are true friends.

Tell us about your brand. First of all, what is it that you do?

I am an illustrator and graphic designer. An artistic personality who creates and enjoys seeing the success of other creative people. Liene Vilma’s creative side emerged during the Covid times when I realised that I can accomplish my skills and ideas by creating my own brand and items.

How did you find your path to your passion?

While I was working for someone else full-time in a designer profession I came to an understanding and an idea that I can apply all my ideas into generating and creating my own brand. I wanted to try and take the risk to do things differently than usually done.

What is your brand about? What does it mean to you?

My brand is about me and the way I see things. Through my own colourful spectrum, I mirror things which are around me in a format of drawings. My driving force is to create and to make others happy.

What is your story about Liepaja?

I was born in Jelgava, but Liepaja is like me second home, as the closest relatives of mine live here. As I am here rather often I could not afford not to include Liepaja in the city’s map project.

If you had to associate yourself with a place in Liepaja, which one would it be?

Rozu Street right next to the park by the beach is my favourite street in Liepaja.

What would you like to wish to all guests of Liepaja?

I would like to wish all guests visiting Liepaja to feel the refreshing air breeze coming from the sea, to get to know the charming, old-fashioned architecture, to have a taste of pickles which can be bought in Peter’s market, enjoy the strolls along the beach and much more. There are many things to see and discover.
